Six Part Yoga Therapy Training Course for Teachers with Stephanie Quirk

Stephanie Quirk has taught many six-part training workshops on therapeutics. She regularly shares her knowledge and expertise with Iyengar yoga teachers around the world. We are delighted that Stephanie will be providing yoga therapy training at IYIMV during November 2017 and in each successive year until 2022.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS COURSE IS NOW FULL

Writing on her website Stephanie notes:

‘My first visit to the institute (RIMYI) in Pune was in Dec-Jan-Feb ‘91/’92. When I returned in 1994 I decided that I wanted to immerse myself fully into the institute for a longer time. That longer time extended itself to more than 20 years . . . . . . . I stayed and I stayed’.

During this time, she assisted in all classes including the medical and women’s classes. This experience forms the basis of her yoga therapy training. You can read more about Stephanie’s approach to therapeutic yoga in this interview >

‘While training teachers, I have come to realize the enormously important role therapeutics plays in Iyengar Yoga. I am training them not to be an instructor of classes, though instructing skillfully and effectively is a great service, but training them to guide students and patients on the path, to awaken them to their inner content: breath, organs, energy, and mind.’
