Ustad Sajjad Hussain is a professional classical vocalist based out of the capital city of Maharashtra, Mumbai. He belongs to the famous Gwalior Gharana – a lineage of esteemed musicians dating back to the 16th century.

Known for the depth of his knowledge and specialism in pure classical music. he is the grandson of the maestro, Ustad Mohammad Hussain Khansaab, a great classical vocalist and sarangi player. Ustad began performing on stage at the age of 14.

Over the past 30 years Ustad  has been running the Saraswati Sadhana music school in Mumbai. During that time he has trained more than 200 students in his gurukul, including celebrities and actors. Ustad’s performances have taken him all over India and around the world. He plays regularly for the State Government of Maharashtra.
